Jaipur, Aug 22 (PTI) BJP general secretary (organisation) B L Santhosh on Tuesday said party spokespersons and panellists work like “frontline warriors” and they should have an understanding of how to identify propaganda and fake news.
He said that fact-checking and dealing with online trolls is difficult. Also, answering tough questions and dealing with online trolls are challenging tasks. He also encouraged party workers to not only use social media for entertainment, but to improve their knowledge.
“It has been my experience that the spokespersons and panellists of the party work like frontline warriors. Spokespersons have to answer questions immediately,” he said.
Sudhanshu Trivedi, BJP National Spokesperson, said that after the advent of social media things have changed dramatically.
He said that in just a half-hour, thousands of people can hear and see what’s happening on social media.
According to a press release, he said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had made several innovations before the 2014 general election and spoke at meetings in 3D using technology.
Trivedi stated that in the last nine-years, the Modi Government has been creative and historic and the nation can be said to be in safe hands.
The workshop was attended by Rajasthan BJP President C P Joshi and Rajyadhan Rathore, the national spokesperson of the BJP and MP. Discussions were also held on issues like effective use and management of social media, coordination and debates. PTI AG SDA RHL
