Epson’s new hybrid printer, the SureColor® F2270, is now in the market for purchase. Designed for both direct-to-garment (DTG) and digital-transfer-film (DT Film) printing, it’s exclusively compatible with Epson ink packs and is available through Epson Authorized Professional Imaging Resellers at an MSRP of US $ 18,995. Revealed for the first time in June 2023, this printer’s DT Film printing feature enables manufacturers to work with a broader range of materials beyond traditional garment printing.

The SureColor® F2270 features a PrecisionCore® MicroTFP print head and UltraChrome® DG2 Ink, ensuring colours and photographic details. Printing speeds can be up to 20% faster on dark fabrics. Print-head technology adapts automatically to ensure optimal performance and high-quality garment printing. Print shops can also reduce waste with a bulk ink system that does not require cartridges. This helps to make printing more eco-friendly.

Tim Check, Senior Product Manager at Epson America Inc., highlighted the printer’s customer-centric design, aiming to assist users in achieving precise results from the outset, thus saving time, costs, and environmental resources. Check expressed anticipation for the product’s reception and eagerly awaits feedback from customers as they begin to use their exclusive innovation.

Additionally, The SureColor® F2270 offers an extra range of features such as automatic garment thickness adjustment, powerful Epson Garment Creator 2 software, 4.3-inch touchscreen interface, a convenient quick-load platen, and access to the Epson Cloud Solution PORT3, allowing for real-time printer monitoring, including production rates and utilization data.
