Fall in Love with “Making” at CPL

Caledon Public Library invites you to explore your creativity this Fall. We are excited to invite everyone to visit our makerspaces in the Cory Trépanier Creativity Studio in our Caledon East branch and at our Margaret Dunn Valleywood Collaboration Studio.

The new Cory Trépanier Creativity Studio is named after Caledon resident and world-renowned oil painter, filmmaker and explorer, known for his passionate portrayal of Canadian landscapes. Cory’s legacy includes encouraging artists to fearlessly follow their creative dreams, he urged his audience to connect with nature as a source of inspiration and self-discovery. This studio celebrates the marriage between art and technology and offers the community the opportunity to access emerging technologies and maker-tools to empower and promote creativity. This space features some of the same popular equipment featured in our Margaret Dunn Valleywood Collaboration Studio, including a Glowforge 3D Laser Printer and a Cricut® Station, but also features new and exciting tools! This space includes a direct-to garment printer to create personalized clothing, as well as a memory station that allows you to preserve your memories. Our website has more information about our maker equipment.

Come to a workshop in October if your curiosity is piqued about our maker tools! Our website calendar will be open for registration on Sunday, 1 October @ 10am. We ask that you register for only one workshop of the same name at a time. This is due to our popular maker programs. More people can participate. Thanks for being such a good neighbor.
