Ludhiana: Printing press owner booked for molesting 16-year-old girl

A Sudhar printing press owner has been arrested for allegedly molesting a 16 year old girl.

Jaspal Singh, a resident of Sudhar, has been named as the accused.

The victim’s mother, in her complaint, stated that her son had placed a printing order with the accused. He told his sister on October 1 to go and collect the slips that were printed from the accused. The girl looked visibly upset when she returned from the press. She finally confessed to her mother after much coaxing that the owner of the press had abused her.

Sub-inspector Jaspreet Kour, who is investigating this case, has filed an FIR in accordance with Section 354 of the Indian Penal Code (using criminal force against any woman to offend her modesty), and Section 8 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.

The accused has yet to be arrested
