Fremont, California. Fiery, the leading independent provider of digital-front ends (DFEs), announced today that it has been recognized with three prestigious Pinnacle Products Awards from PRINTING United Alliance for 2023. This includes awards in the non-output category for Fiery’s Duplo integration automating job preparation and finisher setup, Fiery Digital Factory v11 driving direct-to-film devices, and the upcoming release of Fiery Command WorkStation 7.0 unifying print job management. Fiery® Command WorkStation® 7. Print providers can consolidate their print rooms with a central job management system that is independent of printer models and brands. Fiery Command WorkStation enables printers and Fiery-driven large format, high-speed, inkjet, cutsheet printers to seamlessly connect. This allows for automation and consolidation of print production. This unprecedented integration allows businesses the ability to choose from the best printers currently available and those that will be in the future. Fiery Command WorkStation 7 includes new features like scheduling, cloud applications and job presets, which simplify and automates the job submission process. Fiery Command WorkStation 7 will be available for free to all Fiery users in the world by October 2023.

Fiery Impose Integration with Duplo DC-648. Simplify the prepress to post-press setup for high-value jobs that require customized finishing with Fiery Impose, a PDF imposition software, that seamlessly integrates with Duplo’s latest mid-range DC-648 slitter/cutter/creaser finisher. This collaboration automates job preparation, helping operators to reduce setup times by up to 80%. In addition, Fiery Impose supports the DC-648’s unique ability to finish a job with up to 20 mountain (up) and 20 valley (down) creases in a single pass, totalling an impressive 40 creases.

Fiery Digital Factory version 11. Fiery Digital Factory v11 (formerly CADlink Digital Factory) is a software RIP that optimizes output quality. Digital Factory is a powerful tool that can be used to manage production and create color profiles for virtually any direct-to film or direct-to garment, sublimation UV, toner, wide format, print-and-cut device. This latest release adds Fiery’s Single Pass Highlight White Underbase feature for boosted white ink, creating brighter whites and increasing color vibrancy in a single pass.

The Pinnacle Product Award is given to products that are expected to be on the market by 2023. A highly qualified panel of judges from across the printing industry evaluated the annual contest’s 160+ entries in more than 58 categories spanning analog, digital, output, and non-output technologies.

“One of the things I like best about our competition is that it is juried, and judges are basing their decisions on objective criteria. And with outstanding entries like those submitted by Fiery in the non-output category, they had their work cut out for them,” said Dawn Nye, Program Manager Pinnacle Awards, PRINTING United Alliance.
