It is strange to see how easy access to information has allowed the public to become more educated to the point that it is becoming a problem to the ruling class. Perhaps that’s why they are becoming so crazy and trying to make public discourse insane. Let’s talk.
My uncle was an old-school conspiracist. He worked hard breaking coal with a pickaxe searching for diamonds in comparison to the way we have become. An intelligent man, former Army Ranger turned long-haul trucker. The “anon profile” is self-educated and an autodidact.
In the pre-internet age, he was always looking for information. He is my subject matter expert for everything to do with the Trilateral Commission or the militia movement stuff from the 1990s. These things were so difficult to learn back then.
Meeting with people in person to accept information, such as at gun shows or other events. You had to physically go and check out books that you read, as e-books weren’t available.
He filled in the gaps with radio talk and CB radio conversations with truckers. It is fascinating to see truckers either being dumb as bricks or being wandering sages of astronomical intelligence. They are both on the opposite end of the bell curve, just like Combat Arms in military.
My main point, which I shared with other 30-something or forty-something anons, was that information is moving so quickly and has become so simple that people are speeding down the information waterlide.
You used to be a normie. But then you became a “alternate” politician or believe tunnel. It was well-kept, but not very popular. Perhaps you were a libertarian, or even a Marxist.
That was not enough. You might become more conservative, then RW and finally more esoteric after you dig in deep. It used to take at least a decade for this process to happen.
Zoomers are moving from being lolberts who bought Hawaiian shirts and larped about the “boog”, to zoomers who now read esoteric books and political theory books. They were very close to normie four years ago, but now they are reading Uncle Ted and Evola material.
This idea is also being reflected in the real world. @MogTheUrbanite Was talking about earlier how the dudes in his church openly talk about Klaus Schwab/WEF/Great Reset demons in an open and non-conspiratorial manner.
It is possible that young children don’t realize how important this is. My political awareness was in an area that most people thought George Soros was a hedge-fund manager. People called me a tinfoil antisemite crank if I mentioned the names “Rothschild”, “Soros” and “Rothschild”.
That live clip of Newt getting literally pulled from the interview because he was discussing conspiratorially with Soros, is an example. It wasn’t that long ago, but it was well-known by enough people.
This is a common household fact. This is a significant change that can be observed over a 10-year time period. This is a major change from the status quo. Information accessibility is now completely beyond the control of traditional gatekeepers.
This is why the suppression of conspiratorial nosdes has, in most cases, given up. In electronic warfare terms, the enemy has switched from jamming the specific frequency their enemy is using to just jamming *all* frequencies with white noise. It’s all lunacy.
This can be easily observed on the chans and /pol/. Reddit had central areas of moderation they were able to control. Conde Nast executives on the strategic level and subreddit moderators on the tactical level. They were simple.
4chan was an entirely different beast. You can’t ban accounts you don’t like or downvote them. It’s “pissing among an ocean piss”, as we used the phrase.
The site’s real problem, which probably costs the authorities a lot of money, was not trolling, constant info-ops and board sliding. However, 4chan sucking did what the anons had predicted it would: drive us out of our containment sites.
The chans literally fell on the sword and lost the hermeticism that allowed autistic discussions and ops to occur. This was a great loss, but the “anon realities tunnel” broke the guardrails, and went off-road in every direction, integrating with other people.
It was almost like a large, dangerous cyst had formed. The host popped it and the infectious frogposters began to spread in all directions. They covered the walls, windows, and door in a horrible mess they couldn’t clean up or put in the box.
Now, we have zoomers speedrunning the political theory that millennials pioneered through almost a decade of experience. Kaczynski’s 22-year-old friends are posting and laughing with each other with niche jokes about long-dead philosophers and ancient rituals. Beautiful.
I don’t want anyone to think that resisting the regime “moves too slowly” when in reality, there has been so much change over the past 25 years due to the internet. It is insane, especially for zoomers who haven’t been there long enough to see it.
ARs or other semi-automatic rifles were rare in the mid-2000s. Few people owned night vision or body armor, and virtually no one was learning to gunfight as a hobby. We were all arguing “Is the Iraq War really necessary or another cynical oil play”?
So, was this the level of discourse? Is it really the muslims’ intention to destroy our country? How much will this cost? The arguments about the PATRIOT Act were likened to today’s thin-blue line cult fighting with people who want your canceled right now.
Now, the whole country is questioning the legitimacy of different government appendages through one or the other. The left-leaning libs call SCOTUS illegitimate. Most of the right-leaning libs call 2020 illegitimate.
Even though the world has become a lot less clown-y, the public is still four times as educated today as they were back in 1980. It is a very confusing thought. I get random contacts from IRL appearing on my phone with the message “Welcome them Signal/Telegram!” 24/7.
My great aunt is an avid reader of The Epoch Times. My grandmother talks about demons. My great grandma, who is 91, believes we’re heading to Weimar Germany. The 22 year-old who fixed my stove’s electric problem casually spoke to my about adrenochrome.
There’s so much awareness nowadays compared to when there was almost no awareness. There is no “fringe” anymore. You can only be cringe. It’s fucking insane and everything is possible.
This is great, because people don’t know the problem exists.
This ideological battlefield is not possible to conquer for the regime. Conquering it *all* like they did in the days of TV and Radio is just too goddamn expensive. It can be broken up into millions of ideological fiefs. It is possible to conquer a fief but not all at great expense.
They start to fire off digital chaff quickly in every direction and play whacka-mole using high-engagement nodes which could or should be considered threats. Now, the enemy is reacting to defend themselves and not steering the course. This is Titanic. We are the iceberg.
They pop chaff every time they do a new psyop. Pattern recognition kicks in and fewer people fall for it. A lot of people recover faster and stop falling for it less often.
They’re stuck in a sheared reactive OODA cycle that they’re not willing to let go of. This is a death spiral of hubris. The crows are returning to roost.
They just made it so difficult to ruin the chans that they exiled a bunch internet green berets from every neighboring country to train proxy troops. Here we are.
What percentage of Americans would doubt 9/11 and what percentage would accuse the government of causing it to happen today?
Repeat this to yourself at least three more times. That’s how much you have changed.
