Successful artist’s book and print fair returns to Sunny Bank Mills


The first is April 1 to 2 for the second instalment of Printed Bound, the annual Artists’ Book and Print Fair.

The mill will then reopen for the Threads Textile Festival, which takes place over the weekend from May 12-14.

Printed Bound was launched last year and will be featuring more than 40 bookmakers, printmakers, collectives, and studios who will be available to sell their works as part of a weekend celebration traditional and contemporary bookbinding and print techniques.

Expect to see screenprints or monoprints, risographs or collographs as well hand-bound books, zines and zines.

There will be a range of stallholders from Yorkshire and beyond, including Angela Hall, Russell Hughes, West Yorkshire Print Workshop and Henshaws Arts & Crafts Centre.

The Threads Textile festival will be open in the Textile Archive on May 12, with talks by top experts on dyeing. The opening of the new exhibition Tailored by the 62 Group will take place in the Art Gallery.

A workshop program will be held on Saturday and Sunday. It includes dyeing, weaving embroidery, quilting, and print.

Students from Leeds Arts University will host a fashion show Saturday afternoon.
